VIDRINE Call for Submissions: Trans & Gender Non-Conforming Video Artists – Fall 2024
The Worth Ryder Art Gallery & Trans Student Wellness Initiative seek trans and gender non-conforming artists for an upcoming video exhibition running from November 4th to November 27th. The video exhibition will screen in VIDRINE, an ancillary space showcasing single-channel video and installation. It is located around the corner from the Worth Ryder Art Gallery in the lobby of the Anthropology and Art Practice Building.
Video submissions may include (but are not limited to) short film, animation, documentary, and performance. Artists may submit up to 3 video works. Selected artists will be awarded a cash stipend and will be invited to speak about their work at the opening reception screening on November 4th.
To be eligible, artists must be current UC Berkeley students and must identify as trans and/or gender non-conforming. Video work can address any topic. Submissions do not need to address topics of trans or queer identity to be eligible. Works can be any length.
Submissions due October 19th, 2024 at 11:59pm.
Late submissions will not be accepted. Artists will be notified of their status by October 26th.

This exhibition is a partnership between the Worth Ryder Art Gallery and Trans Student Wellness Initiative (TSWI). TSWI is a collaboration between the Multicultural Community Center (MCC) and Gender Equity Resource Center (GenEq).
