Nadia Shihab's (MFA, '21) feature-length film Jaddoland is featured in current issue of the the Visual Anthropology Review (VAR). As the Journal for the Society of Visual Anthropology, VAR highlights innovative forms of ethnographic production and anthropological practice that explore the potentialities of sensory scholarship.
Described as "intimate, experimental and beautifully playful", Jaddoland is a feature-length personal documentary that explores the meaning of home and the search for belonging across generations and landscapes. Since it's premiere in 2018, the film has won five festival jury awards, including an Independent Spirit Award in 2020. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
