The students of Sculpture Foundations (ART 15) and Ceramics Foundations (ART 14) present a selection of objects made over the last few weeks. Sculpture students experimented with a new material every week (paper, magazines, cardboard, air-dry clay, plaster) while ceramic students practiced weekly processes with clay (pinch, coil, slab, wheel).

Displayed on modular shelves, these pieces can be considered as completed work, work in progress, maquettes, and/or tests. Collectively, they demonstrate an accumulation of knowledge gained from physical effort and creative intentions through material engagement. This repository of preliminary questions, problems, solutions, ideas, and thoughts will continue to take shape as artists develop patterns and preferences in the way that they create; always in relation to themselves, their peers, their environment, and systems at large.
